About Me

Thanks for being here! I am a licensed and board certified art therapist, licensed professional counselor, and integrative nutrition health coach helping people feel better through creative expression and upgrading lifestyle choices for optimal health.

Before I started my career as a helping professional, I wore many hats. I have been an actress, an artist, a restaurant worker, a teacher, and a returning student. As a performer and artist, I felt the stress of always looking for the next gig. Working in restaurants, I knew the financial uncertainty of each shift. As a teacher, I felt the pressure of being spread too thin. At school, I wanted to be recognized. Sometimes I struggled with anxiety or periods of sadness that felt unshakable, and I certainly felt stuck in a rut at times when it felt impossible to consider another way of living. I became very interested in finding a way to feel better inside and out; to be more fulfilled, and less concerned with how other people saw me.

Through my training and practice as a coach and therapist, I realized that regular self-care was a crucial component to improve overall wellbeing. I am a firm believer in walking my talk by experimenting with the recommendations I share with my clients. I started paying close attention to what I was eating, my sleep, who I spent time with, and how I spent my time alone, and I noticed how these factors were impacting my mental, physical, and spiritual health. A big part of taking care of myself is through creative expression; it helps me focus on the present moment and feel productive. I love learning and creating, and I value the privilege to help people feel better by exploring art making as a primary tool.

As a mental health professional, I have provided clinical art therapy and counseling in outpatient, long-term residential, hospital, and educational settings. I understand what it means to burn out, and more importantly, how to prevent it! I will support you to find new ways to relax, break through thought and behavior patterns that are no longer serving you, improve self-acceptance, and feel energized through a combination of verbal processing, art making, wellness education, and lifestyle modifications.
